The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in California aged 55.
His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The celebrated video game developer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
